About us? Hmm. Well, we kind of blossomed into this thing following a conversation about the years when we partied on Oak Street ALL DAMN DAY between Fest weekends. The Riverbend neighborhood has a celebratory vibe and is home to a host of characters which lended the idea of a throwback. So, this year, we're bringing it back—with a little something extra.
Set as a single-day block party and street festival, Riverbend Lagniappe is free to the public and will feature four stages of local New Orleans musicians, and a few new visiting friends of ours. Alongside the music, food and art vendors that reflect the culture and creativity of our neighborhood and city will also be featured.
For those looking to go a bit deeper, we will be offering a limited number of VIP passes—an experience inspired by those intimate, pop-up backyard boils of years past. The kind where you never quite knew who might be hanging out… or who might jump in and play. As those moments became harder to find amid the flood of weekday options, we hope to channel that magic again for a select few who remember what it felt like or those who want to see for their self.
We couldn't do this alone. Riverbend Lagniappe is proudly built in partnership with our Riverbend and Oak Street framily, including The Maple Leaf Bar, Old Alker Distillery, VINO Wine Bar, Jaques-Imo's, Frenchy, and other friends and neighbors who make this place the funky corridor, wayyy uptown.
Better late than never—but know this: we're creating a hang that's just as perfect to pop in and out of as it is to settle in for the day, soaking up great music, incredible food, and the Riverbend neighborhood.
